Cleanup is a computer maintenance tool created by Microsoft. This software is designed to free up hard disk space on the computer. To cleanup disk, this software will search and analyze files on the computer hard drive that are no longer used and delete files that are not needed. This is most likely caused because the space or free space on the hard drive is starting to fill up, especially on the part of the hard drive that is used as a place to store installation files from the operating system.
One of the causes of a slow computer is too many files on the hard drive. Solving it is certainly not difficult: just delete the files so that the hard drive is not full.
To make it easier, you can take advantage of the Disk Cleanup program in Windows. With this program, unnecessary files will be removed so that the hard disk on your computer does not become full. Disk Cleanup will delete temporary files, empty the Recycle Bin, as well as system files and other items that you no longer need.
Run Disk Cleanup is not difficult. You can follow the steps below:
– Click ‘Start’ and in the ‘search’ box and type ‘Disk Cleanup’ after the results come out type ‘Disk Cleanup’
– In the list of existing drives, click on the disk drive you want to clean, then click ‘OK’
– A dialog box will appear, on the ‘Disk Cleanup’ tab select the types of files you want to delete, then click ‘OK’
– If a message appears, click ‘Delete files’
Sometimes, the amount of free space after we do a Disk Cleanup is quite large. It could be, that the empty space that appears is up to hundreds of MB, of course, it is more efficient if it is used to store other more important files.
